When we select a Father Bull to use in the program we estimate the impact it will generate on the production of basically the females, and we take into account a necessary balance between physique, EPDs and pedigree (its mother and maternal grandmother).
Regarding the phenotype: we want all the performance in kilos that we can, but keeping calving ease and birth weight under control, as well as the weight of the adult cow. A sire bull has to have a male character, a sire's head, consistent muscle masses, structural correction, pigment and scrotal circumference.
